The SSSTS course is specifically designed for individuals who have, or are about to have, on-site supervisory responsibilities. The qualification will enable qualified supervisors to renew their certificates over 1, rather than 2 days. It will revive and rejuvenate current SSSTS holder's understandings of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, as well as the legal responsibilities they have, relevant to their work activities.

If you are a manager or supervisor on a construction site you have a legal and moral responsibility to your work force. Health and safety of the site lies with you, and it is necessary to make sure you are able to supervise a site that is suitable to be worked on. All jobs need to be carefully planned and monitored, and by law you have to do everything practicably possible to ensure no one gets hurt. As part of this it is essential that all site supervisors hold a valid and current SSSTS certificate.
