Course Details
The NPORS accredited Plant Machinery Marshal N133 course aims to provide our learners with the skills and knowledge required to promote the safe and effective coordination of plant machinery on site.
Through a blended learning approach of theory and practical training, this course will support the traffic management of busy construction sites skilled through skilled and trained plant marshals.
Our plant machinery marshal is delivered by our experienced instructors as group booking only. This course is delivered at the convenience of your location with your machinery to support familiarity throughout the training.
A good understanding of spoken and written English is needed for this course.
We also require an up to date record of thorough inspection of the machinery being used for course delivery.
- The roles and responsibilities of a plant machine marshal
- Current relevant legislation
- The hazards and risks associated and introducing control measures
- Effective communication techniques including approved hand signals and signage
- Selection and identification of PPE
- Carrying out essential safety checks and setting up of exclusion zones for loading/ unloading
- Guidance of plant machinery including forwards and reverse direction, including danger zones such as 'blind spots' and confined space areas.
- Environmental considerations
- Conducting end of shift and shut down procedures.
On completion, learners with achieve the relevant NPORS operator card
NPORS theory question paper and practical assessment.
