Alpha Safety allows its clients the option to book by telephone or email. However, when our clients decide to book, they must abide by the following terms and conditions.
Fees:
Where existing credit terms are not agreed all fees are payable in advance of course attendance. Confimation of course bookings will be made via a set of emailed course joining instructions. We reserve the right to refuse admission to the course until 100% of the course fees are paid. Any fees agreed are correct at the time of quotation, however, should the fees alter then we will inform you no later than 2 weeks before the start of the course. All prices are subject to VAT at the current rate (please note that certain government businesses are VAT exempt).
Certificates:
We will issue certificates upon receiving 100% of the course fee. Unpaid certificates will remain the property of Alpha Safety Training Ltd. until payment is made. Once payment is made, all outstanding certificates will be sent to the clients within 7 working days. Please note that should the certificates be issued by an external body, delivery timescales will vary depending on when the accreditation body returning the certificate.
Overdue Payments:
Any late payments may incur an interest charge or, in the case of continued payment delay, legal action.
Cancellation Policy:
In the unfortunate event that you require a cancellation, due to preliminary costs you will be subject to the following terms:
- Cancellation between 0-10 days prior to the course start date = 100% of course fee payable
- Cancellation between 11-28 days prior to course start date = 50% of course fee payable
- Cancellation 29 or more days prior to course start date = 0% of course fees due or an agreed alternative course date transfer
We understand unexpected circumstances can sometimes arise, as a result Alpha Safety can support with a delegate name change on the course free of charge, except for e-Learning services and CITB testing services, where course credits are allocated to individual and cannot be re-assigned.
Where a delegate booking has been transferred onto an agreed alternative date, the cancellation policy terms are maintained from the original course date. A course booking cannot be transferred on more than one occasion. In the rare required circumstance, Alpha Safety Limited reserve the right to cancel courses at any time. In such event we will offer you an alternative placement at an agreed date.
In the event of no attendance of a booked course without prior notice you will be liable for full payment of the course fee. Any attendee that fails to successfully complete all required elements of a course, or fail to attend all scheduled course dates, will also be liable for 100% of the course fee.
There is a 24-hour cancellation grace period from the date and time a booking is raised. In the event this is required, the booking can transferred to an agreed date, a credit issued against your account or the booking can be removed all together.
* Exceptions of these terms can be reviewed under Alpha Safety's discretion. Please note, cancellations that are required in line with specified reasons such as Covid19 or major illness, we may require supporting evidence in line with your request.
Special Offer Policy:
Special offer booking prices are subject to the specific course dates and title as determined by Alpha Safety. The offer applied to this booking cannot be used as price guarantee against other dates of the same course title, or bookings made for the same date prior to the special offer becoming available.
The special offer price is only applicable once made live by Alpha Safety and can be revoked at any time. In the event of a special offer booking which is rearranged onto an alternative date, the booking price will return to the original standard course price. Special offer bookings which are canceled are liable under the same cancellation policy as a traditional course booking.
Special offer bookings cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.
Course Contact Hours:
Many of our courses are accredited by external awarding bodies, for example; IOSH, CITB and Highfield. As such we are required to ensure that the candidates for these courses have a specific level of tutor contact hours. Therefore, should clients arrive late for a course we reserve the right to refuse access to training if mandatory training hours cannot be met. In such situations the full course fee remains eligible for payment.
Providing Courses at your Workplace (Private Training):
Working time regulations prevent an employee working nights immediately after the night shift. Legislation states that employees have the right to an 11 hour break between shifts. We would appreciate it if you, as the employer, would abide by this legislation, as to do otherwise would be a conflict to the learning process of the student.
All above terms remiain applicable to private training.
Student Requirements:
To prevent identity fraud, students are asked to provide photographic identification in the form of a valid driving Pliocene, valid passport, valid warrant card, employee ID card or a student travel card. Without ID the student will only be able to sit in on the course, but not be eligible to take any exams.
It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that all students who are attending a physical skills course I.E. First Aid or Manual Handling, are free from any conditions which would affect their capability and aptitude to cope with the course of study. As per our policies, we welcome students with disabilities, but it remains the employer’s responsibility to ensure they are properly supported in their workplace. Information pertaining to this issue on each course can be obtained from the Managing Director at Alpha Safety Training Ltd.
